Our initiative:
As UT Dallas has increased its overall enrollment, the Pep Band has nearly doubled in size in the last two years alone. To complete and balance out our instrumentation, we are raising $10,000 to buy two piccolos, one tenor saxophone and one baritone saxophone. These are instruments that most students do not own. Having them in our inventory will allow even more Comets to be a part of this eager and enthusiastic group of talented musicians, at no extra cost. For the audience, fans and athletes, more band members mean more energy, excitement, and SOUND.
Help us reach our first goal of $2,500 toward our ultimate goal of $10,000.
Who we are:
Since its founding in 2009, the UTD Pep Band offers students, faculty and staff an opportunity to participate in the excitement of athletic and campus community events and to perform within the greater Dallas area. The Pep Band is one of the most visible performance ensembles on campus, playing at men’s and women’s home basketball games and women’s home volleyball games, as well as for other campus events, including National Night Out, Scholars’ Day and Homecoming.
Because 100% of our student members major in something other than music, the UTD Pep Band has become a truly campus-wide fellowship of Comets united toward the common goal of providing quality entertainment for the entire UT Dallas community.

$2900 will cover the cost of one tenor saxophone. As a thank you, you will get a Pep Band half-zip shirt and we will put a “Generously donated by” plaque on the instrument case. Plus, you’ll get all the perks of the lesser donation amounts.
$5,700 will cover the cost of one baritone saxophone. As a thank you, we will send you a Pep Band hoodie and we will put a “Generously donated by” plaque on the instrument case. Plus, you’ll get all the perks of the lesser donation amounts.
