Send Dhunki A Cappella to nationals!

We are Dhunki A Cappella, the premier South Asian a cappella team at the University of Texas at Dallas. We compete at competitions around the country and represent our culture through creative musical arrangements. By winning first at UC Berkeley’s competition and second at University of Iowa’s competition, we were lucky enough to qualify for nationals in Atlanta! In addition, we just won first place at the quarterfinals for the International Championship for Collegiate A Cappella, and we hope to go to the semifinals in Phoenix. However, with the combined cost of member fees, travel, hotels, music arrangements, and many other miscellaneous expenses, we could really use your support! 

We are trying to raise at least $3,000. Reaching this goal will ensure that we can compete in our next competitions in Phoenix and Atlanta. Our stretch goal is $5,000, which will allow Dhunki A Cappella to compete in the International Championship for Collegiate A Cappella finals in New York City. Apart from competitions, we also hope to record music professionally and post it on streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. 

South Asian culture is such a vital part of UT Dallas's diverse campus, and by winning Nationals last year we were able showcase UT Dallas nationally and bring pride to the South Asian UT Dallas community. We are also proud to represent South Asians all around the Dallas area and unite people through the  love our music. We hope to represent UT Dallas nationally once again and show everyone how talented our students are!
