Help Whiplash compete at regionals!

Whiplash is UTD’s womxn’s ultimate frisbee team, and we are currently in our competitive season. We are fundraising for our regional tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 29-30, 2023 to support paying for housing, food, and gas for our team.

Our fundraising goal is $1000 - we hope to reach this goal to cover the cost of hotel rooms for up to 20 people, including our two coaches, as well as gas for each carpool group driving to and from Tulsa. It’s important for our team to secure housing close to the tournament grounds for convenience and further saving on gas costs. Having this fundraised money allocated to spend specifically on this tournament will allow us to save for future tournaments, including nationals, which will incur an even larger cost due to paying for flights. Any additional funds will be put towards providing housing for future tournaments.

Whiplash is committed to inclusivity and providing a safe space for any and all identities and backgrounds. We are committed to upholding the spirit of the game that uniquely separates this sport from others. We uphold mutual respect within our team and for those we compete against, and strive to foster a welcoming environment. Our team is currently 18-1 this season, having won our first two tournaments and breaking seed by 9 places at our third. We would like to continue this strong season by fundraising for our most important tournament this season!
