It is with tremendous sadness and heavy hearts that we share that Martin Kamp, a dearly beloved friend, husband, son, brother, uncle, colleague and overall amazing human being, has tragically passed away. While his loss leaves a gaping hole in all of our lives, we also know that in just 36 years on this earth, he had a profoundly positive impact on so many people. A truly kind and wise soul, a gentle giant, Martin was indeed magnanimous and cared deeply about the world around him.
It is in that spirit that we hope to commemorate his life by establishing the Martin Joseph Kamp Memorial Scholarship as an endowed scholarship at The University of Texas at Dallas. If we reach our target*, the scholarship will annually distribute funds to a deserving undergraduate student in the Bass School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology. With this scholarship, Martin's giving spirit will live on forever and continue to help others. We would appreciate anything that you are willing to give--whether in the form of contributions, well wishes, or memories.
*All donations made will support UT Dallas students. UT System requires at least $50,000 to establish an endowed scholarship. In the event that this fund does not receive $50,000 in donations by November 2025, funds will be transferred to the Bass School's general scholarship fund in memory of Martin.
