On Oct. 24, UT Dallas Alumni is hosting its VolunTemoc event. Volunteers will be completing a project benefiting Vogel Alcove, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the youngest victims of homelessness in Dallas.
We are seeking to raise $1,000 to support the volunteer day, which will help to serve approximately 500 children in-need. Your donation helps by providing the food and supplies volunteers will be packing in Bye-Bye bags and offsetting any costs incurred to maximize the volunteers' impact.
Bye-Bye bags provide healthy, nutritious snacks to help children and families served by Vogel Alcove bridge the gap between meals. Many of the children and families served face long commutes to and from Vogel Alcove and don't have consistent access to nutritious meals when away from Vogel Alcove. Bye-Bye bags are distributed daily and Vogel Alcove can distribute up to 200 each day.
Volunteering is a powerful way to stay connected and make a positive impact after you graduate. UTD Alumni are a force for good and are creating a legacy of service that reflect the core values of the university. Your support of any amount and volunteerism truly make a difference on our campus and within the North Texas community.
We know that each individual who has been a part of UTD's history is a Comet forever, and together we are Forever Comets. Thank you for being a positive impact on the campus, the community and the world!
