Support Chemistry Clinic at UTD

Our mission is to support a peer-led tutoring program, specifically designed to enhance student learning and performance in high enrollment courses. Initiated in fall 2023, we are committed to fostering academic excellence and success for every student. We are more than a tutoring service — we are a community where students help each other succeed.

Our free tutoring services extend to various courses, including General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physical Chemistry. Our very passionate student leaders understand the challenges faced by their peers and are dedicated to helping them gain confidence and succeed in learning. With personalized attention they tailor their tutoring to fit the needs of individual students. This support system improves students’ performance, boosts their confidence, reduces anxiety and enables student retention in chemistry programs. 

Since opening our doors, over 1,000 students have been positively impacted each semester, and we continue to strive for greater reach. Here are some testimonials from our students:

My leader, Uma, breaks down the information, so it is not overwhelming and helps me process the concepts easily. Since regularly attending the clinic, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in both my understanding and performance in my chemistry classes.”
