Support medical school tours for UTD students

Molding Doctors is a premedical organization at UTD with over 200 members. Our mission is to empower and support aspiring physicians by providing them with resources, knowledge and connections. We foster a collaborative environment amongst our members, where we uplift and mentor them, instead of the competitive premedical culture found nationwide.

Through our organization, members gain access to opportunities such as Pre-Med Gala, a networking night, filled with opportunities to interact with other premedical organizations on campus as well as local doctors. Our members also gain access to clinical and non-clinical volunteering opportunities, leadership opportunities through our fundraising committee, as well as Molding Apps, a program we created last year to help our members gain insight into building a strong medical school application. Many students lose the interest to dream big simply because they do not know what the world has to offer. Our organization wants to inspire students to dream big and give them the confidence and support to continue in this medical journey. We aspire to do this by exposing our students to medical schools.

Many students miss out on wonderful opportunities around them simply because they do not know about them. We aspire to expose our students to medical schools to increase their access to these schools as well as the opportunities they have to offer.

We aim to raise $2,000 to pay for transportation costs to the medical school as well as any costs the medical school has for organizing a tour. Any additional funding will be used to help cover the cost of food and refreshments, as well as any miscellaneous costs to ensure that our members will have a memorable and enriching experience.
