Who we are:
The Center for Wind Energy (UTD Wind) conducts fundamental and applied research primarily in wind energy. UTD Wind provides solutions to the wind power industry and works on novel turbine and system-level designs for land-based and offshore wind power. The center comprises faculty members, research and administrative staff and graduate and undergraduate students.
What we’re fundraising for:
All funds raised during our Impact UTD campaign will be used to support our students by providing travel grants to national and international events to showcase their original research as emerging experts in their field. Our center provides opportunities for students to tackle issues facing the global energy transition toward sustainable renewable energy.
International Recognition
Wind energy research is a multidisciplinary effort. Attending events like the European Academy of Wind Energy PhD Seminar and Torque Conference allows students to forge international connections and encourage collaborations in fields outside their concentrations. By giving the students these opportunities, they become globally recognized experts in wind energy.
Our Impact:
Your support enables us to provide travel grants to events that empower students to pursue their academic goals, participate in transformative experiences and contribute to a brighter, more interconnected world. Join us in making a difference and shaping the future of global education at UTD. Together, we can inspire, empower and uplift students from around the globe.
