Support Comet Wind

UTD Comet Wind needs your help acquiring a model wind turbine and educational kits to use for the annual Collegiate Wind Competition hosted by the Department of Energy. UTD has competed in this competition and has placed in the top five for the past two years. Help us make it three years of national titles!

Our goal for fundraising is $1,000 to defray the cost of travel for ~15 students, conference passes to a renewable energy conference at the competition venue and parts for both the Turbine Design Contest turbine model and Connection Creation Contest wind education kits. Our group has had a positive impact on students’ matriculation into postgraduate degree programs in renewable energy fields, in addition to offering leadership opportunities and skill-building for underclassmen, no experience needed. Your generous donation will help our organization make a positive impact through technical and volunteering opportunities on- and off-campus.
