Dallas Formula Racing: Trailer Repairs & Michigan Competition Fundraiser

Dallas Formula Racing (DFR) is a student-run engineering and racing team at The University of Texas at Dallas. Every year, we design, build and race a Formula-style car in the Formula SAE (FSAE) competition, one of the most prestigious collegiate engineering challenges in the world. Our team is a hub for innovation, collaboration and hands-on experience, bringing together students from various disciplines to apply classroom knowledge in real-world applications.

This year, we face a crucial challenge: our team trailer requires urgent repairs to safely transport our race car, tools and equipment to the FSAE Michigan competition. Additionally, we need funds to cover travel expenses for our team members, ensuring we can compete at the highest level. Your support will allow us to compete against top engineering schools, showcase our skills and proudly represent UT Dallas on a national stage. 

Fundraising Goal 

Our fundraising goal is $5,000. Reaching this goal will ensure: 

• Trailer Repairs: Fixing structural damage, new tires and interior modifications for secure transportation. 
• Competition Travel Expenses: Covering transportation, lodging and entry fees for our team at FSAE Michigan. 
• Equipment & Spare Parts: Ensuring we have the necessary tools and backup components for a successful competition. 

If we surpass our initial goal, additional funds will be used for: 

• Further Enhancements to the Trailer: Improving organization, adding storage solutions and increasing efficiency in our pit setup. 
• Future Competitions & Testing: Supporting additional testing sessions and potential participation in more events to refine our car’s performance.
