Help the Delk Lab reach their goal!

Immunotherapy can be very effective against cancer. But not every patient will benefit. The relationship between our immune system and cancer is complex, so our lab studies the effects of immune system inflammation on cancer progression.

The Delk Lab at The University of Texas at Dallas is a team of dedicated and brilliant undergraduate, graduate and junior scientists investigating the effect of inflammation on cancer progression and treatment resistance. Our important and innovative research has been supported by the National Institutes of Health and the American Cancer Society, and we collaborate with scientists and clinicians all over the world. Led by Dr. Nikki Delk, our team has been recognized locally and nationally for our research and STEM outreach.

Today, we are coming to you for your support. You can have a direct impact on the continuation and success of our research. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to study the epigenome of cancer cells that have been exposed to chronic inflammation. This research will reveal how chronic inflammation changes cancer cells into more aggressive, treatment-resistant cells. Once we know the “how,” we can devise strategies to mitigate cancer-promoting inflammation.

We are asking for $10 donations from 1,000 supporters. Please give what you can, as every dollar makes a real impact on advancing cancer research.
