Help us reach the International Collegiate Conference!
At the heart of the University of Texas at Dallas Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) is a simple but powerful belief: talented students deserve opportunities that match their ambition. As the only marketing-focused student organization at the UT Dallas, housed within the Naveen Jindal School of Management, our chapter exists to develop the next generation of marketing leaders- UT Dallas students who are creative, analytical, ethical, and ready to make an impact. Through hands-on learning, professional development, and service-driven projects, we work to ensure that marketing at UT Dallas is not just learned, but lived. Today, we are standing at a defining moment in our chapter’s history.
For the very first time, UT Dallas AMA is fundraising to send our students to the American Marketing Association International Collegiate Conference (ICC) in 2027. ICC is more than a conference: it is a three-day, national stage where the most driven marketing students in the country come together to compete, collaborate, and grow. Students participate in high-stakes competitions, chapter challenges, career preparation programming, and invaluable networking with peers, professors, and recruiters from across the nation. For our chapter, this opportunity represents something even bigger.
This semester and throughout the summer, our officer team is training and building UT Dallas AMA’s first-ever competition team. These students will be preparing to represent our University in individual and team-based marketing competitions, competing against established programs that have been attending ICC for years. Our goal is to show the world what UT Dallas students are capable of: strategic thinking, creativity under pressure, and the confidence to perform on a national level.
We are fundraising with a goal of $2,500. Reaching this goal will allow us to officially enroll our students in the 2027 ICC competitions, select competitive events, and partner with faculty from the marketing department to coach and mentor our teams. These funds will be used to support essential expenses, including conference registration, travel, lodging, and student accommodations.
Once this goal is reached, UT Dallas AMA will formally launch its inaugural ICC Competition Team, creating a foundation that future students can build upon.
Our stretch goal is to fully cover all student-related expenses for the trip so that no participant is held back by financial barriers. Additional funding would allow us to expand our team, provide advanced preparation resources, and ensure that this opportunity is accessible to every deserving student — not just those who can afford it.
The impact of this project is long-lasting.
For students, ICC is a prestigious, resume-defining experience that goes far beyond the classroom. It builds confidence, sharpens real-world marketing skills, and opens doors through national exposure and professional connections. It transforms students from learners into competitors and leaders.
For UT Dallas and JSOM, this initiative places our marketing program on a national stage. It demonstrates the strength, rigor, and competitiveness of our students and faculty. It allows our chapter to bring back new ideas, best practices, and inspiration from top AMA chapters across the country, strengthening our campus community as a whole.
For the wider community, UT Dallas AMA is deeply committed to service. One of the most unique aspects of our organization is our dedication to providing free marketing services to nonprofit organizations around the world. Our students apply their skills to support causes that matter, using marketing as a tool for positive change. By supporting this project, donors are investing in students who give back locally and globally.
This effort is especially meaningful because it is entirely led by our officer team, including our president, executive vice president, and vice president of finance. This is our legacy project. We are building something that did not exist before, with the intention of starting a new tradition for UT Dallas AMA: one where students regularly compete on a national stage and carry the name of UT Dallas with pride.
UT Dallas students are known for their intelligence, drive, and resilience. This project gives them the chance to prove it — not just on campus, but across the country.
By supporting our ImpactUTD project, you are helping launch a defining chapter in UT Dallas AMA’s story. You are investing in student leadership, experiential learning, national representation, and a future where marketing students at UT Dallas are seen, heard, and respected on one national stage.
We invite you to help us make history.
