Support Phi Gamma Nu, Epsilon Omicron Chapter
We are Phi Gamma Nu, Epsilon Omicron Chapter, (PGN) a professional development organization at UT Dallas that brings together students from all majors with one shared goal: to grow professionally, build meaningful connections, and prepare for life after graduation. Our current fundraising project supports a social and professional retreat, designed to give our members something they rarely get during a packed academic semester, dedicated time to truly connect, collaborate, and grow together.
As one of the few all-major-inclusive professional organizations on campus, PGN plays a vital role in fostering community across diverse academic backgrounds. Through this retreat, students will have the opportunity to network with like-minded peers, share unique perspectives, strengthen communication skills, and engage in career-focused projects in a relaxed, supportive environment. Beyond professional development, the retreat emphasizes genuine connection, allowing both new and returning members to build relationships that last well beyond the weekend and translate into stronger collaboration throughout the semester.
Our fundraising goal is $1,500 and reaching it will allow us to fully bring this retreat to life. These funds will be used to cover essential costs such as lodging for a few nights, meeting spaces, meals, and professional materials including notebooks, notepads, and access to premium software subscriptions such as Canva and Adobe. Together, these resources help us create an environment that balances both the social aspects of bonding and the professional aspects of career readiness, workshops, and collaborative projects.
If we exceed our goal, additional funds will support stretch initiatives that further enhance PGN’s impact. These include marketing and promotional efforts, social media outreach, and expanded professional programming throughout the semester. PGN regularly invests in recruitment and engagement activities, such as case studies, resume workshops, guest speakers from top Dallas-area companies, and interactive events, paired with essentials like food, branded PGN merch and small incentives that encourage student participation and inclusivity.
The impact of this project extends beyond a single retreat. It strengthens our organization, supports student success, and contributes positively to the UT Dallas community by cultivating confident, career-ready graduates. PGN is proud to maintain a 100% employment rate for graduating members, and this retreat is another step toward continuing that legacy. By supporting our project, donors directly invest in students’ professional growth, leadership development, and long-term success, and help us continue doing what we do best: empowering students to achieve their dream internships, careers, and opportunities before graduation.
