Student Emergency Fund
The UT Dallas Student Emergency Fund was created to support all UT Dallas students experiencing financial hardships. The fund is managed by the Division of Student Affairs and Office of Financial Aid, and financial support is based on immediate needs. More about the fund below.
International Student Emergency Fund
This fund is managed out of the International Student Services Office and was established to support F-1 international students at UT Dallas.
It prioritizes students whose curricular practical training (CPT) internship employment may have been reduced or canceled. The fund also supports various expenses regarding immigration applications, housing, medical expenses, etc.
To meet the needs of on-campus students experiencing food insecurity, the Comet Cupboard continues to serve the UT Dallas community while prioritizing safety. The Comet Cupboard is currently experiencing high levels of demand; please also consider donating food items by emailing email@example.com.
Callier Patient Emergency Fund
Support for this fund will help bridge the gap for emergency patient care at the Callier Center for Communication Disorders. The financial need of Callier patients continues to grow due to the economic impact of the pandemic. New funding is needed to ensure that the center can continue serving our community, especially children and families who otherwise cannot afford treatment due to insufficient insurance coverage or income loss.
About the UT Dallas Student Emergency Fund
During this time of uncertainty, the well-being of our campus community is our greatest concern. Unfortunately, many UTD students are facing difficulties as a direct result of COVID-19, and unexpected financial hardships may limit students from continuing on their academic journeys.
Yet even in this uncertain time, we’re witnessing the resilient Comet spirit. Alumni and friends are asking how they can work with us to help, so the University created a fund to address the emergent needs of our students.
By supporting the UT Dallas Student Emergency Fund, you can assist UTD students contending with financial challenges such as:
Technology needs for remote learning
Elimination of jobs and/or reduction of income
Housing and food insecurity
Medical care and prescriptions
Travel costs to return home
Other unplanned expenses
Now more than ever, we need the Comet community to come together in support of every student facing unforeseen challenges.

Is my gift tax-deductible? Yes, all gifts made to the Student Emergency Fund are tax-deductible. You will receive your tax-deductible receipt via email.
I want to make a gift to the Student Emergency Fund, but not online. What do I do?
If you wish to make an offline gift to this fund, you can write a check with a note that you want the money to be placed in the Student Emergency Fund. Checks can be sent to:
